When is the right time to do Preventative Maintenance

(PM) on your Air Conditioner (AC)? 

The short answer? 

ALWAYS! 

One is tempted to think: "If it's not broken don't fix it", but this is NOT the right mentality. To keep your car running well, you need to do regular oil changes and engine tune-ups, so why would you think it is any different for an Air Conditioner?

What is key about maintaining an Air Conditioner, whether it is an exterior Residential unit, Interior Mini Split or a giant Commercial building, is that it's important to schedule your PM's at regular intervals - preferably when it's not 117°F outside, and145°F in your attic, or on the blacktop roof of your business! 

What this means to people that live in a desert environment like Arizona, is that the right time to do a PM is usually during the winter when technicians have the time, and they are not running from one AC emergency to another, but more than that, it is important to do them REGULARLY!

Working a regular PM cost into your budget is part of the running cost of your home or business, and should NEVER be skipped. Furthermore, a scheduled PM is always way cheaper than spending thousands of dollars on repairs or replacements of your unit/s.

Additionally, doing regular PM's means that you are talking with your technician on a regular basis, and because of that, getting regular updates on the latest technology coming to the market, and new regulations being imposed that allows us to become more sustainable and eco-friendly.
